The Abrigo Moacir Alves is administered by the Nucleus of Social Help "Tomas of Aquino".
It has existed for 26 years and, on average, home 50 children, and 40 of them have special needs.
In this institution, the children have specialized service, in agreement with their needs, such as physiotherapy, pediatrics, dentist, psychology, psychiatry and social service.
They are rejected by their families because of the special needs or suffered bad care.
